Wikipedia en problemas?
Leyendo Slashdot me he enterado de que Wikipedia parece estar en problemas financieros. Este enlace conduce al articulo en cuestión. Lo concreto es que Wikipedia anunció que no habían recaudado suficiente dinero para sus actividades de los próximos meses. La situación podría corregirse si es que Wikipedia alojara publicidad en sitio web, pero Wikipedia prometió en el pasado a sus colaboradores que nunca habría publicidad en sus páginas. La noticia ha motivado un interesante debate entre los lectores de slashdot.org. En esta discusión hay argumentos que señalan que Wikipedia podría tener serios problemas administrativos.

que la lean pues esta contiene un analisis de "Partiels" (1975) hecha por Thierry Alla quien es un especialista en la materia.

Ensemble Aleph organises its 5th International Forum for Young Composers, in partnership with the French Documentation Center on Contemporary Music (CDMC) and the Cirm, National center for musical creation.
Therefore we launch during the whole year 2007 a "Call for score", opened to composers of all nationalities (see below a short version/and enclosed a longer version) under 40 years old (deadline: December, 31st, 2007).
Please allow me to insist on the chance given to those young composers, whose works are played in 5 european countries recorded and maybe edited.
The selected composers will be invited for 2 residencies in July, 2008 and Paris in November, 2008 which give them the chance to meet interpreters, composers, musicologists and a large audience.

Ensemble Aleph http://www.ensemblealeph.com
Wishing to go on exploring new and varied musical styles and aesthetics, Ensemble Aleph organizes the Fifth International Forum for Young Composers. The Forum aims to promote artistic exchanges between composers and performers.
10 works will be selected by the members of the Ensemble Aleph in February, 2008, possibly including 2 mixed pieces; associating electronics to the musicians (see details on the website).
The 10 selected composers will be the guests of a residency in July, 2008 for music sessions with the Ensemble Aleph. This summer session will end with a preview concert. A Logbook, including the recording of the 10 pieces will be distributed to the audience before each concert. The 10 musical works will be performed at the Theatre Dunois in Paris and in at least 6 European countries.
Entries must be postmarked December, 31st, 2007 Age limit: 40 years old (born after January, 1st, 1968)

Finale en Linux!
En este enlace pueden leer un excelente artículo que enseña a instalar el programa de notación musical Finale en Linux. Si estás interesado en instalar Linux en tu computadora te recomiendo que uses la distribución llamada Ubuntu. Y a propósito de Linux, aquí hay un spot publicitario hecho por IBM que es ciertamente emocionante.
